Nicholas Wilson (he/him) is proud to step into the role of Production Manager for Short North Stage, bringing with him a decade of experience at the intersection of performance, production, organizational leadership, and creative operations. A dynamic leader and multi-disciplinary artist, Nicholas has long been a driving force in Columbus’s arts community, known for his seamless ability to tell powerful stories—onstage and behind the scenes.
Born and raised in Ohio, Nicholas has served in numerous creative and administrative roles at Shadowbox Live, including Assistant Director of Operations and Education, Assistant Choreographer, and Costume Design Supervisor. There, he oversaw the logistics of all education programs, managed cross-departmental initiatives, and led the design and implementation of systems that improved communication and efficiency across the organization. His unique blend of logistical expertise and artistic sensibility has made him an in-demand collaborator across disciplines.
Onstage, Nicholas has captivated audiences with dynamic performances in roles such as Hud in Hair (SNS), Buck Barrow in No Return: The Deadly Dance of Bonnie & Clyde (SBX), Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow: An American Ghost Story (SBX), and many more. He is a BroadwayWorld Columbus Award winner and was recognized as a 2023 Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 nominee and a Columbus Makes Art Brand Ambassador for his contributions to the city’s cultural life.
At Short North Stage, Nicholas draws on his background in theater studies and interdisciplinary arts to ensure every production runs with precision and heart. Whether supporting technical execution or nurturing creative teams, he brings a deep commitment to fostering inclusive, imaginative environments where artists thrive and stories come alive.
